Corbett Duplicate File Finder and Deleter: Working Process

Download Corbett Duplicate Cleaner and Install it on Your Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, and older versions.

Click the Proceed button to start the scanning process to find duplicate data.

There are three options provided to scan your duplicate files from the selected location:
- My Computer (C Drive): In this, the software scans the root folder of your device.
- Local Drives (C, D, E, F, ... Drives): From this option, you can search all the drives on your computer.
- Specific Drive and Folder: This option allows you to scan your data from a specific folder or drive. According to your need, you can add multiple drives or folders.

After selecting your drive, click on the Scan Duplicates option at the bottom of the screen.

The software automatically scans your data of the location that you have selected. Wait until the scanning process is complete.

Click on the Show Error Logs option below to see the issue of access denied. This error is because of read-only and hidden files so it is not a big problem.

Once the scanning process is done, click OK to proceed to the next step.

At the left pane of the screen, you can see your files categorized into different bases. For example, All, Documents, Image, Audio, Video, and Other. In the center, you will see the File name, File Size, Category, and Path of the file. To ease the process, all the duplicate files are auto-checked. You can uncheck or check the files that you don't want. Also, you can preview the file by right-clicking the file.

Once you review your duplicate files, click on the Remove button on the bottom-right corner.
Corbett Duplicate Cleaner Filter Options
In this software, there are five filter options that search specific duplicate files. Let us know about all filters!
#1 File Name Filter
The File Name filter allows you to type the name of the files you want to scan. Write the name of the files separated by the commas as shown in the figure below. After that, hit the Scan Duplicates button to find the duplicate files based on the names that you mentioned. Once the scanning process is finished, you can easily remove the duplicate file.

#2 File Extension Filter
The Corbett Duplicate Data Remover has an option to search and delete data from a particular file format using File Extension Filter. Enter the file extension separated by comma to scan the duplicate files from the specific file format. For example, if you want to search duplicate PDF and CSV files from the hard drive. Write down .pdf, .csv in the text field. Click on the Scan option and the software scans your data. Then click on the Remove button.

#3 Ignore File Filter
The software scans complete files from your hard drive among them, it also scans Hidden and Read-only files. If you don't want to scan these files, click on the Ignore File Filter option. The Read-only files are only used to access and view the file, you cannot modify or delete the file in any way. Hidden files are those files that are by default hidden in your file managers or Operating systems. With this function, you can ignore these files for the process.

#4 File Type Filter
The File Type filter option provides you multiple choices to remove your duplicates from Document, Image, Audio, Video, and other items. So, if you enable the Video option then it will find duplicate videos stored in MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, AVCHD, FLV, F4V, SWF, and MKV extensions. This same applies to other types of data.

#5 Size Filter
The Size filter option is used to find and remove duplicate data that have these preferred sizes based on KB, MB, and GB. Select the preferred minimum and maximum size, we have selected a minimum of 10 MB and a maximum of 20 MB. This makes it easier for you to remove those duplicate files that are difficult to delete due to size.
