XML Sitemap Creator: Working Process

First, download and install your Sitemap creator on your Windows OS computer.

Once you run the tool, enter your website URL in the search bar. Then, click on the Crawl button.

After clicking the button, the software starts analyzing your website.

Once it is done, all the pages of your website will be displayed in front of you. You can now check the status of your webpages.

Click on the specific URL to view the Incoming Links.

You can also see the External Links by clicking the specific URLs.

Click on the URL to check the Outgoing Links.

Go to the Broken Link Checker tab to check all the broken links of your site.

In the Settings option, you can apply filters to generate sitemap according to your need. You can use Add directly in sitemap (do not parse) extensions like .pdf, .css, etc.

Type the extensions to Exclude from sitemap. For example, exe, .css, .js, etc.

Provide the URLs you want to Crawl but do not include URLs in sitemap.

In addition, you can also Exclude URLs that you don't need in your website sitemap.

Enable robot.txt file option and select options from the list of the Sitemap Options that you desire. Such as hypertext reference, language, last modified, priority and video sitemap.

Lastly, click on the Export As button and choose the option from the drop-down list.
