Both ends at once
Pick the service at each end and the host and port resolve on their own. Where a provider needs it, modern authentication takes you through the usual consent screen instead of asking for a password.
Scope the move
The source mailbox opens as a folder tree with a checkbox on every branch and a message count beside it. Most moves leave Spam and Trash behind. That is one checkbox rather than a manual step.
Narrow it down
Filters run before anything is written, so a five year archive can go across as the last two years and nothing else. Useful when the destination has a quota the source never had.
Where it lands
On Microsoft 365 the target does not have to be the primary mailbox. Archive, shared and public folder mailboxes are all valid destinations, which matters when the mail is being kept as a record rather than for daily use.
