Server admin coverage
Admins who change mail platforms need proof that nothing was left behind. Kerio Connect holds mail, contacts, calendars and tasks in one store. Kerio Connect Backup Software writes them to open formats before the server is touched.

Leaving Kerio Connect without a verified copy invites regret. Mail and contacts saved in standard formats let the old server retire with nothing missing. Everything stays on the admin's Windows PC and none of it goes to Corbett.

Quick answer
Kerio Connect Backup Software is a Windows program that copies mail, contacts, calendars and tasks from a Kerio Connect server to a local drive. Server address and port come from the login, so setup stays short.
What it saves
Kerio mail, contacts, calendars, tasks and contact photos
Where it saves
A folder, a USB drive, a network share or another live inbox
Who uses it
Server admins retiring or changing a Kerio server
Core features
From the first login to the finished backup, in the order the steps happen.
Add account
Open Email Accounts, choose Add Account and type the Kerio credentials. The tool completes server address and port itself, so nothing else needs typing.
Credentials are added once and the folders list after login. Add several users and queue them together.
Folder selection
Open the account and it shows a checkbox tree with a count on every folder. A full server needs bulk mode, while one user who left the company needs only a selective backup.
A tick box sits on every folder and subfolder. Original structure is kept on disk and empty folders stay out of sight.
Message preview
Click a message and it loads in the preview pane beside four analysis tabs. Admins use it to confirm that the right mail is going to disk.
Content shows body and subject, message header lists routing and delivery times, properties state size and files, and hex with raw message shows the encoded original.
Selective backup
Filters shrink a big mailbox to the items that matter. Date, sender, recipient and subject can be combined, and only selected mail is saved.
Set a start and end date, search sender, recipient or subject text, keep only mail with attachments, cap size and skip duplicates. Extract options save addresses and contact photos.
Output options
Click Export and select a format. Mail files and document files are on the list, with naming options for output, so thousands of items stay easy to search.
PST, EML, MBOX and MSG for mail clients, plus PDF, HTML, CSV and TXT. Send Kerio mail into Gmail or Microsoft 365 with the email migration tool.
Flexible use
One user, a full server or a move to a new platform: Kerio Connect Backup Software handles all three. Test your job in free demo before you buy.
Back up one Kerio user
Add one login, tick folders and save a PST or PDF copy for a user who left the company.
Back up a full server
Add every user and process the queue in bulk mode. Every account gets a separate file.
Move Kerio mail to a new platform
Name a live Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox as the target and mail lands in matching folders.
Before connecting
Three points to settle before exporting. A short list saves a failed first backup.
Access
Check the credentials
Confirm that the Kerio account login works. A working login means the tool can connect and list the folders.
Storage
Plan the target drive
Mail, calendars and photos add up. Aim the output at a drive with spare room, or at a network share.
Scope
Decide bulk or selective
A full server needs bulk mode. One user who left the company needs only a selective backup.
Contacts alone go out with Export Kerio contacts to CSV or Export Kerio contacts to vCard.
Working process
Follow four steps to get a Kerio mailbox onto your drive. Practice on one folder in free demo.
Install and open the tool
Download the setup, install it on Windows and open Corbett Kerio Connect Backup Software.
Add the Kerio account
Choose Email Accounts, click Add Account and type the Kerio credentials. Server address and port fill in on their own.
Select folders, filters and format
Tick folders, limit by date, sender or subject, then choose PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, PDF, HTML, CSV or TXT.
Start Kerio backup
Press Export and track every folder on the progress screen. A log and a CSV report list all saved mail.

Before purchase
Admins can drag mail into a desktop client or export one user at a time. That route is slow for a server with many users.
| Task | Manual copy | Kerio Connect Backup Software |
|---|---|---|
| Price | No licence fee | $99 one time |
| One user | Manageable | Just as good |
| Many users | Slow repeat work | Bulk mode |
| Contacts and tasks | Separate exports | Saved with the mail |
| Contact photos | Dropped by most exports | Extracted with the data |
| Output choice | Client formats only | PST, PDF and six more |
| Folder hierarchy | Flattened | Original structure kept |
| Headers and raw source | Buried behind a menu | Full view of any message before it is saved |
Rows tinted green are where manual copy is enough.

Save every mailbox before the Kerio server is changed or switched off.
Open a sample file
After saving, open a handful of messages. Confirm folders, contacts and attachments came across.
Keep PST and PDF
