CommuniGate Pro guide to mailbox formats says every mailbox uses a format set by its name extension: .mbox text files, .mdir folders with one file per message, .mslc sliced folders and .mb4 folders with partly binary data. Outlook opens none of them. CommuniGate converter reads the stored mail and saves it as standard files.

Source files
Select Open, then Email Server, and choose CommuniGate from the list. CommuniGate converter looks for the configured profile on your PC and lists its mail on its own.
No profile found? Select Email Data Files and add your mailbox files and folders by hand. Your source mail stays as it was.
Batch loading
Select Choose Files for a few mailbox files. Select Choose Folders to load an entire directory in one step.
Loaded mail appears in one tree with a checkbox beside every folder, so CommuniGate converter handles many mailboxes in a single session. No file size limit applies.
Message preview
Click any message and a reading pane opens beside five analysis views. A wrong folder or an odd date shows up before anything is saved.
Content shows the email body. Message header lists From, To, Subject and Date. Properties reports message data, while hex and raw message views show the stored mail.
Output formats
Email files export to PST, EML or MBOX. Document files export to PDF, HTML or CSV. The Export menu also lists Gmail, Office 365, IMAP and Thunderbird for sending mail into an account.
Search by keyword first, then save only matched items. Quick search highlights hits in yellow, and Advance search checks every field or only name, subject, To, Cc and content.
Export options
Switch on open folder after export, skip greyed out folders, create empty folders and include email headers. For PST output, create an individual PST file for every folder, so small files stay healthy.
