Why big CSV files fail to open

Excel caps a sheet at 1,048,576 rows and drops everything after that without much warning. Google Sheets has its own cell limit, and many import tools time out on large uploads. Splitting into parts below those limits keeps every row usable.

How do I split a large CSV file?

Click Open, select Files or Folders and load the CSV. Click Actions, then Split in Multiple, set rows per file, choose the target location and click Save.

Will every part keep the header row?

Yes, when All files contain headers is selected in the header options.

Can I set how many rows go in a part?

Yes. Max rows per new file decides the size of every part.

Can I keep only some columns?

Yes. Select columns lets you drop the ones the target system does not need.

How large a CSV can it split?

There is no input size cap. Files too big for Excel split normally.
