Most mail services block plain passwords from desktop apps. Prepare the login first.

Use an app password

Google blocks ordinary passwords for desktop tools. Enable 2-Step Verification, generate a 16 letter app password and paste it into the login box.

IMAP access

Check IMAP is switched on

Some Microsoft 365 and Zoho admins turn IMAP off for staff accounts. Ask the admin to allow it for the mailbox being analysed.

Large mailboxes

Start with a short date range

A mailbox with years of mail takes longer to read. Run the last month first, then widen the range once the numbers look right.

How do I analyse my mailbox?

Click Open, then Add Account. Enter your email and password, press Add and wait for the scan. The analytics chart appears when it finishes.

Does it work with Gmail and Outlook.com?

Yes. Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo, Zoho Mail, Microsoft 365 and any IMAP account are supported.

Does it add tracking pixels to my mail?

No. It only reads mail already in your account. Nothing is inserted into messages you send.

Can I see response times?

Yes. Average response, sent and receive times appear in the response charts.

Can I limit the report to certain dates?

Yes. Set a start and end date under Advanced Settings and click Apply Filter.

Does it count attachments?

Yes. Attachments are tracked along with message size and file type.

Can it show read and unread mail?

Yes. The reports include read and unread counts.

Which folders are analysed?

All of them, including Inbox, Sent, Drafts and Outbox, or specific folders if you prefer.

Can I save the reports?

Why does Gmail reject my password?

Google requires an app password for desktop tools. Turn on 2-Step Verification and create one.
